Spiritual Care Team
SPIRITUAL — the clear implication is to address the faith needs of individuals as they encounter life
CARE — the intent is focus on expressing our concern for the persons we serve
TEAM — that our effort is never limited to one person’s efforts needs to become obvious
As the body of Christ—the fellowship of believers—all who name Christ as Lord become servants of the Lord. Our ministry is to those who need our concern in whatever way we can provide it. Like Jesus, our “role model,” we desire to meet people where they are and share the Good News of God’s Love.
The team visits our sick and shut-in at their homes or nursing home facilities. They serve Holy Communion to those who wish to receive it. Simple meals are also provided for those returning home from the hospital, or going through a difficult time.
There are several members of the team who remain after church services and are available for any prayer needs. Volunteers also send greeting cards or make telephone calls to cheer someone’s day.
